View and clean up your elevation profile
GPS elevation readings are full of noise, and that noise inflates your total ascent artificially. This tool shows your route's elevation profile and removes the spikes, so the ascent becomes realistic. Everything happens in your browser.
- Upload your GPX file in the sidebar
- Choose how strongly you want to clean up the elevation
- Download the GPX with cleaned-up elevation data
The grey line is your original elevation, the red line the cleaned-up result. The original ascent is the raw sum from your file and may be higher than what your device showed, because devices already filter too.
