"Time information is missing from file" — why Strava rejects a file
Strava only accepts activities where every point has a timestamp. Many route tools strip those times while editing, which makes the file useless as an activity. This tool is built for exactly that: it keeps time, heart rate and cadence, sorts your rides chronologically by start time, and produces one file Strava simply accepts.
Still getting the error? Then one of your source files is missing timestamps itself. Use the original files from your watch or bike computer, or export the activity from Strava again — not a previously edited copy.
Frequently asked questions
Are heart rate and cadence kept?
Yes. Sensor data in the file, such as heart rate, cadence and temperature, is carried over one-to-one into the merged file.
Does the upload order matter?
No. The tool automatically sorts the rides chronologically by start time.
Why does it say "time information is missing from file"?
One of your files has no timestamps. The tool flags this right when you upload and names the file; use the original from your watch or bike computer in that case.
What about the two separate activities on Strava?
Upload the merged file first, then delete the separate activities — otherwise distance and time count double in your stats.
